Man arrested in armed theft of pot purchaser in Capitol Hill


SEATTLE – A 20-year-old theft suspect was arrested after police stated he robbed a 20-year-old man in Capitol Hill Friday evening.

Police stated they had been referred to as to the 1500 block of East Republican Road simply earlier than 6 p.m. for a report of an armed theft.

When officers arrived, they talked with the sufferer who stated he was making an attempt to buy some marijuana from the suspect.

The sufferer instructed officers the theft suspect pulled out a gun and ran away along with his $60, police stated.

Police stated the theft suspect ended up operating out of an alley proper in entrance of a patrol automotive as officers approached the theft scene. He was caught a block away.

When officers searched the suspect, they discovered the $60 however no firearm, police stated.

Officers stated police searched the alley and located a black 9mm handgun stashed behind a dumpster. It was reportedly stolen from a Kent house.

The theft suspect was booked into the King County Jail for investigation of theft and possession of a stolen firearm.
