SHARONVILLE, Ohio — A man irate that officers confiscated marijuana identified in his wife’s purse known as the police division and cursed a sergeant for a number of minutes, demanding police “return my f—ing weed!”

The division released a recording of the contact Tuesday on its Facebook web page. It is fascinating, to say the least.

The unidentified caller can be heard insisting to a police sergeant that possession of four grams of marijuana for recreational use is legal in Ohio. It is not.

“I had two cops come right here final evening and steal my f—ing weed and I want it back,” the man says. “It’s only like four grams but it was truly very good f—ing weed. It was only like four grams, but it was like prestige f—ing weed.”

The man tells the sergeant that he believes it is legal to possess up to 100 grams of marijuana for recreational use in Ohio. “Am I incorrect?” he asks. “You are incorrect,” the sergeant says.

The man concerns the sergeant’s legal expertise as the contact continues and at one particular point tells him his wife’s name is Marilyn Manson. He later hangs up in aggravation when he cannot convince the division to return his marijuana.

“We really feel that some individuals may perhaps be a bit in the weeds so we would like to take this chance to clear the haze,” the division says in its Facebook post. “To be blunt, recreational marijuana is nonetheless ILLEGAL … per our STATE law. We do not make the guidelines, we just took an oath to uphold them.”

The recording of the telephone contact can be heard right here.
